Recently, we had a customer from the glass industry who had a grinding problem and shared it with Moresuperhard. He said that the workers in his factory cuts glass with Metal Cutting Wheels. But when cutting the glass, the glass was often unevenly ground or even cracked. In order to find out more about the cause of the customer's grinding problem, we conducted a quality inspection of the customer's cutting wheels as soon as we received the samples.

Titanium alloy has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, high toughness, low thermal conductivity, and is widely used in aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding, medical chemical and other parts processing. However, the poor thermal conductivity of titanium alloy causes high temperature in the grinding zone, which causes bonding, diffusion and strong chemical reaction between titanium alloy and abrasive, resulting in grinding wheel blockage and burn.

Recently, we met a customer who was processing bearing steel. He had been using vitrified CBN grinding discs (as shown in the picture below) to grind the workpiece before. But because the workpiece was too small, the vitrified CBN grinding discs he originally purchased had gaps, which would wear into the workpiece to some extent and cause damage to the workpiece. After thoroughly understanding the customer's processing situation and needs, we recommended a resin CBN grinding disc (255-35-50.8-5 180#) for the customer. After the communication, the customer decided to purchase several resin CBN grinding discs for trial.
