Vietnamese customers dresses conventional grinding wheels with Moresuperhard diamond dressers

Share:
Moresuperhard recently received a client from Vietnam who was consulting about diamond dressing. He is mainly engaged in CNC machinery trade. The customer is mainly used to dress the ordinary grinding wheel. During the communication with the customer, the customer has the following question: when using the diamond dressing pen to dress the conventional grinding wheel, is it better to speed up or slow down? Through Moresuperhard's communication with customers, we solved his problems. Now, we will share our discussion on this issue with you.

From a macro point of view, if you trim it faster, the serrated part will be thicker, that is, the grinding wheel surface will be thicker, the grinding surface will be rough, but the cutting force is better; Slow down, the sawtooth shape of the grinding wheel surface is relatively smooth, that is, the grinding wheel surface is relatively smooth, the grinding surface is relatively fine, and the cutting force is poor.

From the microscopic point of view, in fact, the cutting surface of the grinding wheel is more like every abrasive is like a cutting edge. Use this as the cutting edge to do the grinding action. When the grinding wheel is passivated, we need to repair the sharp edge of the abrasive again. Basically, the faster, the thicker the shape, the better the cutting force.

Repairing too quickly can also cause problems. The trimming is fast, and the distance of each jump is large. Although the abrasive is sharpened, it may skip the abrasive for trimming due to its moving speed is too fast. So in fact, not every abrasive has been trimmed, which will cause poor cutting force. More importantly, the sharpness of the grinding wheel will not be enough, because it is likely that only one third of the abrasive will be trimmed, and only this part of the abrasive will have cutting force, and of course it will soon be passivated. Therefore, although it is good to repair the cutting force faster, it is also necessary to pay special attention to the possibility that a lot of abrasive will be lost if it is too fast. Therefore, after rough trimming, good cutting force can be obtained at the beginning, but the cutting force will soon be lost, which may be due to the influence of too fast trimming speed.

On the contrary, when the dressing speed is slow, although each abrasive can be trimmed evenly, if it is too slow, there may be no cutting force at all, or even the whole abrasive will be pulled out because of too much resistance. The abrasive shedding speed is too fast, resulting in the grinding wheel may often fall off.

So the dressing speed has a certain range, which can be set according to the abrasive, the size of abrasive, the speed of grinding wheel, etc. Sometimes, if the cutting force is not enough, the maintenance is not good, or the sand falls out, it may be caused by too fast or too slow sanding.
